The style of the bride’s dress greatly influences the clothes for the groom and the groomsmen.
The Traditional Biker Wedding Tux
Generally, bikers are referred to as easy going and carefree, but we still have some traditions!
- Black leather doorag or beret
- Black leather tie
- White dress shirt
- Black leather vest
- Black jeans
- Black or white socks
- Black boots
- New underwear
- Biker Jacket (weather permitting!)
Don’t laugh about the underwear! He needs to feel as special as you. Just make sure, for his comfort, they are a style he is used to wearing.

Variations of The Traditional Biker Wedding Tux
Blue Jeans With Chaps
Wear lighter colored denim verses dark colored jeans. The key here is contrast and will show off his butt nicely too!
No Shirt
For a very casual wedding, have the groom wear his vest and a black leather tie without a shirt.
Cotton Doorag
Have “Groom” embroidered on a black cotton doorag with either white or chrome thread.
White Cotton T-shirt with Vest
Sleeves rolled up (to show off his muscles!). Have the back printed with “husband of –insert her name (especially her new last name)” and the date of the wedding. Later at the reception, the vests can come off to show off the t-shirt. This idea works best if the bride also has a t-shirt to wear.
Leather Sport Coat
Great for fall, winter or early spring and will give a more formal look to the wedding.
Silk Bow Ties
Colored to match bridesmaids.
Groomsmen’s Attire
Groomsmen can wear the same thing as the groom, with one or two small differences.
Try one of these:
- Change the color of the boutineers
- A different style vest
- Change shirt color to match bridesmaids
- Change the color or material of the doorag
- They wear doorags if the groom wears a beret
A Word About Chaps
If you are planning a summer wedding outdoors, keep the leather chap wearing to a minimum. No one needs the added worry of someone passing out from heatstroke.
